Chef Mark Ladner, Del Posto, NYC
From Ted: Well, once again the photo of the week is of a chef. Yes another chef. But this guy is just not another chef. Mark Ladner is the Executive Chef and Partner of the famed Del Posto Restaurant. He is also part of the team at Otto and Lupa, both NY city landmark restaurants owned by Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich. Mark is an understated guy but full of talent. That could be why when Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali were looking for an executive chef for Del Posto, Ladner was the only man they considered for the job.
Great pic! I trailed at Del Posto a few years ago. He is so tall… I was amazed that they custom built the counters of the over pass for his height. Some of the other chefs had to stand on crates or something to plate the dishes! It was an extremely cool and huge kitchen to see.
